CHINA PROJECTS:                 
          Sanming Children’s Home
   
           

June 21st - July 9th 2010
Gratia Foundation of Hong Kong operates this children’s home in Sanming. MMM HK has done several projects there since it began in 2005. They are seeking to paint the exterior and interior of the dining room building and the
interior of the dormitory and classroom block in preparation for celebrating their 5th Anniversary. If you enjoy seeing a building transformed, come and join us. If you are interested in joining one of these China projects contact the MMM office on 2605 4813 for more information.

Building

PAPUA NEW GUINEA

APRIL – MAY 2010

Wiru Tribe (three hours North of Mt Hagen by road) Builders/carpenters needed. A family of SIL Bible translators have need for a timber three bedroom cottage. The MMM team will be lead by Les Schwebel from NSW and would expect to be away for about four weeks. Participants for a shorter time would be welcomed. The team will be housed and fed. MT HAGEN PNG

Jun 1 2010 – Jul 30 2010

We are now preparing to send a team to Mt Hagen in PNG – June and July 2010. The Christian Leaders Training College is seeling our assistance to build accommodation units for students . Their need is urgent as this past year they received 160 applications for the college year but they only had living accommodation for 32. Our team leaders will be in Mt Hagen for about two months, but we need carpenters, builders, electricians and plumbers able to go for as long or as short as you are able. Accommodation will be provided, you’ll need to get there at your own cost.

SOLOMON ISLANDS
Honiara – The South Seas Evangelical Church


September to October

They are requesting assistance again in 2010 to construct cottages in Honiara for Pastors and visiting Missionaries. MMM is seeking expressions of interest at this stage, so please contact Peter Taylor at projects@mmm.org.au or phone   (02) 4975 2849 to register you desire to be kept informed. Cost Approx $1200.00.



SOUTH AFRICA
The Kings School – Glen Eden

This Christian School caters for Children from pre-school age with a background of extreme poverty. The voluntary staff also reach out to the parents, teaching life skills to help them cope with work and family. There need is for two or three carpenters to help complete the school building to a reasonable standard. Food and accommodation will be available, costs to and from South Africa would be about $ 2500.00.
