MMM first worked in Hong Kong in 1981. A large work team assisted in fitting out a youth centre in a new highrise housing estate in Shatin. The first fulltime MMM staff commenced there in 1986 and it became a recognised Centre in 1988. During this time, MMM Hong Kong has operated out of a High Rock Christian Centre in Shatin. 

Many projects have been done for ministries assisting needy people in Hong Kong. Projects include Christian camps, youth centres, churches, mission offices, radio broadcast centres and drug rehabilitation centres.. Since 1992 there have been a growing number of projects to assist those serving needy people in Mainland China.

The MMM Hong Kong Centre has project responsibility in Hong Kong, Macau, China and other regional countries.
