Located in Central Southern Africa, Zambia has a population of 12 million people. It is a landlocked country and shares a common border with eight other countries.

In previous years the rich deposits of copper provided for many of the financial and
employment needs of the people.

Today though, Zambia has high unemployment and major health issues with malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS. 70% live below the poverty line, 50% are unemployed and one in six is HIV positive. This results in homeless and orphaned children, malnutrition and increased crime.

The first MMM project in Ndola was the construction of a Bible school in 1984. There were several follow up teams and in 1988, the first full time staff took up residence. The Zambia centre has grown and developed since then with the establishment of the
Vocational Training Centre and employment creation programs.
